FULL force

You probably see crop tops everywhere in these two years. I am not the kind of girls who bare their torso while wearing crop tops (Hey so why are you wearing it? umm because I really like them?). Needless to say, it is mainly because I don't have a "nice one aka flat belly" to show off. Another reason is that I feel I would catch a cold or something (Chinese girl's problem) in the end. But full skirt is such a stylish-life-saver. Crop tops and full skirts go hand in hand perfectly (and fashionably without showing my torso YEAH!). I hate to be the last person talking about this trend as it's been going on since early SS14. But I cannot help sharing full/midi skirts with you all. Love xx

Milos - Kleftiko

Spending my summer in Aegean Sea is the best decision I have made this year
Sailing to Kleftiko was such a delightful experience

Exploring the caves. The colour of water inside the cave was so unreal. Like fluorescent.

Sockoholic

I have to admit I have a soft spot for socks. I have a major inclination to buy all socks of different colours and patterns, as if I need to create another pantone book for socks.

And in this case, there is no way I would not fall for the socks/stockings from Strathcona Stockings
I could not save myself from craving and drooling over their pictures in front of the computer

Seriously
Look at their AMAZING prints
Do I really need to explain why?

Actually I am quite strapped in the beginning of the new year. But I still plan to buy myself a pair (or two... or three!) of their socks. This clearly shows how much I love their socks!

I hope my landlord would understand if I show him these socks

Hello My Name is Paul Smith

Design Museum is currently holding "Hello My Name is Paul Smith". The exhibition offers a rare insight into the mind of the designer and his creative process.
Sir Paul Smith dropped by the exhibition during lunch break. My friend and I were lucky enough to see him in person at the venue last Saturday. Many people asked him to sign their books.
Paul Smith is a photography enthusiast. He is interested in taking pictures and also collecting others' photography for inspiration of his collections.
His office at Covent Garden
Paul Smith's love for colours and patterns injects a truly unique quirky feel and personal touch of style into his own office.
Others' collaborations with Paul Smith
Achive of collections
He is also one of the pioneers who used photography as prints on fabrics
Each store of Paul Smith around the world is different from each other
Let alone the sale, entering the store itself IS a fantastic experience of shopping.

The exhibition lasts until 9 March 2014

Weekday

I am lucky to be offered an internship at a really cool British designer label after completing my course. The studio is not big but it is a good chance to know every bit of everything like the design process and production.

On the other hand, I have never been so eagerly looking forward to weekend in a long, long time. Do not read me wrong. I enjoy spending time in the studio. The job sometimes does require lots of physical work and a great deal of energy consumption.  However, the most tiring activity is commuting from home to work every day, catching trains and being jostled by the crowd in the tube. Not to mention taking the bus and being stuck in the traffic congestion. I can go on talking about London transport all day but I decided not to. At least not today.

Lately I discover the online shop of Weekday - and its collection MTWTFSS. I fell in love with their clothes at once. (Too bad they do not have any stores in the UK or China) Plus they are offering some really big discount on Cheap Monday jeans for X'mas at the moment. I have placed my first order today!!

Some of the prints are fun and quirky. But most of the clothing are in line with the appealing traits of Scandinavian fashion - simplicity, minimalism and attention to detail.
Time to ask for Santa's little help for my pocket
